A few weeks ago while out getting milk or something.. I met a guy by the name of Ivo, in a petrol station, with one of the sickest looking and sounding bug eye STI Scoobys I’v ever seen! After a bit of a chat, he took my number and promised to let me know about any SOCSA – (Subaru Owners Club South Africa) meets. Shortly afterwards he let me know of an upcoming SOCSA Dyno Day. Two weekends ago the day finally arrived, I pulled myself out of bed criminally early on a Saturday, picked up a friend from university and drove the 40 odd km in search of the elusive dyno! 😀 Thanks to the trusty Garmin we found it with little effort, and were soon confronted with the rawkus growls of many Scoobys in the wild 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 (<< yes, that was my face the entire day! xD)
I finally had a chance to meet some of the guys from the western cape leg of SOCSA, put my Scooby on the dyno and had a little highway run with 10+ Scoobys to get some coffee 😀 Good day was good! I have some videos in the pipeline but here are some pics in the mean time:
Since then, I have paid my fees and am now a member of SOCSA: western cape! looking forward to lots of fun with the fellow Scoobys in the future!
